UCHS Seeking Proposals for Family Peer Mentoring

Union County Human Services (UCHS) is seeking proposals for vendors to provide Family Peer Mentoring Services and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) assessment services for families involved with Union County Children Services.  UCHS is participating in the Ohio Sobriety Treatment and Reducing Trauma (START) Model.  The Ohio START Model is an evidence-informed child welfare-led intervention for families that has been shown to improve outcomes for both parents and children.  These services will support and achieve the following goals/principles:

  • Enhance available in-home services
  • Increase parental participation
  • Reduce out-of-home placement of children while maintaining safety.  


These services would be delivered through a contract with the selected provider(s) once the provider was determined to be eligible.  The contract period is January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025.
