Child care assistance is available through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to help offset the cost of child care while in work or training activities. Eligible parents pay a fee to their child care provider based on family size an income. There are several child care settings to choose from - Type B Homes, Type A Homes, and Centers. Type A homes and centers are monitored and licensed by the State of Ohio. Type B homes are monitored with yearly inspections by the local county Department of Job and Family Services to confirm they are meeting health and safety standards established by the State.
