Meeting with the Union County Board of Commissioners 

The Union County Board of Commissioners meet every Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. please see our Meeting Schedule page for more information. The meetings are held in the Commissioners' Hearing Room at 233 West Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040

The Board will allow citizen comments/discussions at their discretion. The Open Meetings Act mandates that all meetings of the County Commissioners are open to the public, unless in executive session, however the Act does not necessarily provide attendees the right to be heard at meetings.

Notice of Public Hearing

Board of County Commissioners, Union County, Ohio will hold two public hearings under R.C. §307.37(C) on proposed amendments to the local building regulations regarding Radon Control Methods (Appdx. F Residential Building Code, ICC) and for Pool and Spa Installation (ISPSC) for the unincorporated areas of Union County, Ohio.

The first hearing will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10.00 A.M.

The second hearing will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 9.00 A.M.

Both hearings will be in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, on the first floor at 233 W. 6th Street, Marysville, OH.

The proposed regulations are available to view in the Union County Engineer’s office at 233 W. 6th Street, Marysville. The Radon Control Methods regulations may be viewed at https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/IRC2018P7/appendix-f-radon-control-methods. The Pool and Spa regulations may be viewed at https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/ISPSC2021P3/preface.

According to The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 it is:

Unlawful to discriminate against any person because of:  Race, Color, National Origin, Religion, Physical or Mental Disability, Gender (Including Sexual Harassment) or Familial Status (Having Children)

  • In the financing of housing

  • In the appraisal of housing
  • Blockbusting is also illegal
